Consider this a work in progress.
I’m more of a League of Legends player, but I do like the character designs in DotA 2. Particularly, I like the shape of Sven’s head and the way the horns branch from the main part.
This one was a bit rushed, but at least now I’m closer to being caught up on SketchDaily prompts.
This one didn’t really turn out well. I didn’t have the time to shade it fully or do color, so I tried to do a sort of minimalist approach to shading. Here’s the reference.

The top five drawings were done in one minute each while the bottom five were done in two minutes each.
The drive home tired me out, so I didn’t get around to drawing anything yesterday. I should be able to do two things before the end of today, though.
For now, here’s a random drawing from a picture I found by doing a Google search for “people faces”.
Did a sketch of this guy from the RedditGetsDrawn subreddit. I’m not 100 percent pleased with how the face turned out, but I was going for a slightly minimalist approach as far as features go.
Also, the black-to-rust coloring is a result of fiddling with Photoshop layers. I was going to add in a background with stage lights and such, but I couldn’t figure out how to do it without having it turn out tacky.
I’m heading out of town this weekend, but I might try to get some sketches on pencil and paper while I’m gone.
I’ll admit, it’s a bit of an obvious joke.
And yes, I know that she probably didn’t actually say it.

Frank Frazetta was an influential fantasy and sci-fi artist. I hadn’t heard of him before working on this drawing, but I’ve probably seen his work before - the sorts of muscular, Conan the Barbarian-types, fighting big lizard monsters and saving scantily clad maidens - that sort of thing.
For this drawing, I went with a picture titled “Madame Derringer” that I found in a gallery of his works.
I drew this one at the end of my shift at work, using items sitting on and around my desk.
It involved doing two things I don’t do often - drawing with pencil and paper, and drawing from real life rather than pictures. I also didn’t get into too much detail because I had a limited amount of time.
I phoned this one in.
I tried to get the expressions using a minimum of features. The consistency isn’t great.
Also, there were originally 25 boxes for expressions, but I stopped at 10 out of frustration/laziness. I should work on it some more in the future.
